Tomato - Moneymaker
Moneymaker (as you might have guessed) has long been a popular cash crop for farmers, but is a favourite of home gardeners as well! Highly heat tolerant, Moneymaker is easy to grow and produces very red large tomatoes.
Enjoy continuous heavy yields of deep red coloured globes in clusters of 6 to 10 fruit. The uniform, smooth-skinned fruit are medium in size averaging 113-170gram. Fruits are juicy with classic taste and a sweet bite. This old English heirloom variety came from Bristol, circa the early 1900's. Originally bred for greenhouses, it can be successfully grown in any garden. Though Moneymaker plants do prefer high heat, the plants are amazingly adaptable and will set fruit freely in any weather. Best controlled by staking and pruning.
